Lesbians in Space Comes to Audiobook Pt 2!

Hi Folks!

I have all the surveys created for The Sapphics Strike Back audiobook and I just pressed the button on the smoke test! That means 5% of backers will get their surveys, as a test to make sure everything works. If all goes well, I'll send out the rest of the surveys in a day or so.

When you get your survey please fill it out soon as you can. Our Space Wizard Year 5 part 2 campaign is starting October 29th, and as most of these rewards are digital, I can send them out as soon as your survey is done.

The obvious exception to this, of course, is the actual audiobook. I just got an update today that Mary Robinette will be recording both The Sapphics Strike Back and Undeniable, our collab partner campaign, starting in March 2027. This is a bit later than I said before, but Mary Robinette is already booked through the end of the year. That's the price for having such a great narrator!

For physical rewards, I should be able to send all those out as soon as the surveys are in, except for the new enamel pins, which are currently being produced. I'll get those to you as soon as I receive them!

I'll have more news for you soon! For now, enjoy Doyle being cute!

Hi Folks!

We have a new audiobook in the works! The campaign for Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back finished at with $5,998 (and my eye isn't twitching at all about those last two dollars...lol). That means Mary Robinette Kowal will be narrating the full audiobook, plus a new short story by me!

 What Happens Next:

 • Card Processing: Backerkit will now begin charging cards. Please make sure your payment info is up to date to avoid any issues.

 • Surveys: Backer surveys will go out as soon as I finish them up! I'll be putting the surveys together hopefully this weekend, and I'll try to get it out to you by the end of next week. If you missed anything in the campaign, you'll be able to add any extras, and confirm your shipping address.

We're looking at recording dates likely right after the new year with Mary Robinette, and we'll get the final audiobook to you soon after!

In the meantime, for more queer books, sure to sign up for  Space Wizard Year 5 Part 2, starting in just 28 days on October 29! We'll have 8 new books for you, as well as new hardcovers and more tea flavors!

This project will be part of The Book Bazaar, which is an amazing collective of authors. You should check it out!

I'll be back in touch soon for surveys!

Hi Folks,

One week left in to bring Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back to audiobook!

Want to make me write a short story and have it narrated by Mary Robinette Kowal? We're getting so close to this stretch goal! Once we reach it, the The Sapphics Strike Back audiobook will officially include the bonus short story. So if you want to get a little more listening time out of your new audiobook, make sure to tell your friends and family to back the campaign!

Our winner from the "favorite Lesbians in Space Trope" poll was "Grumpy/Sunshine," closely followed by "Human and Alien." So what should this bonus short story include when we hit this next goal? Let me know in the poll!

Similarly, our partner campaign to bring the Undeniable Audiobook to life is about $400 from funding, so it's a great time to help them out too. Remember, if you back both, you'll get blooper reels from four different books: Unrelenting, Undeniable, Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before and Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back. Make sure to check out the Undeniable campaign!

Let's see how far we can go before the end of the campaign!

Hi Folks!

We passed our funding goal today for Lesbians in Space Vol 2 Comes to Audiobook, but we're just getting started! First of all, thanks to everyone who has backed the campaign so far.

But we've got a lot more great stuff for you!

I hinted at some new shinies coming to you. Since we've funded, I can reveal the designs for two new enamel pins, connected to these anthologies! This is my first time offering enamel pins, but I've got some great advice and help from friends who've commissioned plenty of them. Here are the designs!

These are both mockups for right now, as I need to finalize what numbers I'll need to order, but I already have confirmation and a quote from the supplier. You can see some of their other work below. These will be some quality pins! And you can get them individually, or as a set in the addons section!

Also, if you back both this campaign and the Undeniable Audiobook, also narrated by Mary Robinette Kowal, then you'll get blooper reels from four different books: Unrelenting, Undeniable, Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before and Lesbians in Space: The Sapphics Strike Back. Make sure to check out the Undeniable campaign!

Now's a great time to start looking for that first stretch goal! At $5500, you make me write a new short story, and maybe we'll even get Mary Robinette to narrate it! Let's see how far we can go!

Hi Folks!

Thanks for the great showing on the first day! Right now, we're about 65% funded, and going strong.

If you didn't see it in the campaign, I'm very happy to say that the first anthology, Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before is up for a major award from The British Fantasy Society! If you didn't get a copy in the first campaign in March, you can get yours in this campaign! It's also going out to retail right now, and should be available soon at Audible, Chirp, Apple, and all those other places you listen to audiobooks.

Please keep getting the word out to friends and family about the new audiobook. I have something new and exciting in the works...once we hit our funding goal, I'll announce it. See the achievement below!

And I have a new poll for you: What's your favorite Lesbians in Space trope? Let me know!

Until next time!
